Route 200 heading past the airport on the way to Barra de potosi

This is the entrance road sign to Los Achotes which leads to the beach at
Barra de Potosi. If your traveling by bus on the main coastal road Route 200, this is where you get off the bus and wait for the Microbus or truck to take you to Barra de Potosi. If your driving yourself or in a taxi, take a right at this road sign and continue on this road to the beach.

This Microbus operates on a regular 30-40 minute schedule during daylight hours from main road Rt. 200 at the juncture of Route 200 and the road entrance at Achotes leading to the seaside Village of Barra de Potosi. It's about a 15 minute ride and costs less than .50 cents US.

Horses tied up near the village entrance. Riders are no doubt having a seafood feast on the beach.
