Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor - (PROFECO) - This is the Mexican version of the Better Business Bureau and Ralph Nader rolled into one. They can be very effective in the handling of consumer complaints. Although this is usually an agency used by locals for complaints against local merchants and business's, we advise tourists to file their complaint with both the Tourist Bureau (SEFOTUR) and PROFECO for maximum results.
